A seasoned HR leader, Helen has held increasingly senior roles throughout her career at Bell Canada Enterprise, Air Canada, Pratt and Whitney most recently Sun Life Financial as AVP, Global Talent Development leading the effort of leadership development and employee development.
Helen was born in China and completed her undergraduate degree in Civil Aviation University of China. After working for Civil Aviation of China, she joined Northwest Airlines as an In-Flight interpreter. Soon after obtaining her MBA from McGill University in Canada, Helen started her HR career with Bell Canada Enterprise. Over the years Helen has built her HR experiences and expertise in various disciplines including compensation, HR business partnership and mostly in organizational development. Leading organizational development with different organizations, she has been accountable for Canadian and Global portfolios including learning & development, talent management, performance management, succession planning, and executive development etc.
As a Certified Professional Coach, Helen has exhibited strong passion to coach and mentor people, which allows her help people discover their potentials and make positive change in their lives. She speaks three languages: Mandarin, English and French and her international experiences greatly contribute to her global mindset and cultural sensitivity. Helen has been part of Toastmasters International for the last 10 years. She is also an avid photographer whose work has been used in publications, exhibitions and other special events.
